Employee Referral Program Guidelines

Who is Eligible?

All current, full time and part time regular employees are eligible for referral cash incentives except for those employees in the Human Resources (HR) department, director level and above, and supervisory personnel who possess direct responsibility for filling a position within their span of control.

To Submit a Candidate for the HTS Employee Referral Program:

Once an eligible employee has identified a qualified candidate for a posted position, the employee should instruct the candidate to apply online at www.heitechservices.com and identify the employee as the individual who referred him/her. In addition, the candidate should be instructed to make the same designation on the Application for Employment.

The eligible employee will then go to the HeiTech Services website, Employees Only section and click on the Employee Referral link and complete and submit the Employee Referral Form. (If there is no form on file at the time of hire and an employee is listed as the Referrer, the recruiter will contact the employee and give them 5 business days to visit the HeiTech website and submit the form.)

HR will retain the signed Employee Referral Form through the 90-day waiting period and then process the appropriate payment award.

An award will not be given to an employee for an applicant who has already been considered by HeiTech Services for the position.

Current or former regular and temporary employees cannot be referred as candidates for open positions under the Employee Referral Program. Current employees may apply or be referred for open positions as candidates through the internal job posting system.

 

How Do I Receive an Award?

The candidate you refer must be hired, and the cash incentive will be given provided both you and your referral are on HeiTech Services active payroll as of the date the award becomes payable. The date the award becomes payable is ninety (90) days after your referral’s date of hire.

Remember, the following guidelines must be complied with in order to qualify for the cash award:

  • The HR/Recruiting Department must arrange the interview.
  • The referral is valid for the applied position only. To receive referral credit for future positions, employees must resubmit a new referral form and resume/application for each new position.
  • The HR Department will make the final determination on eligibility for cash awards under the Employee Referral Program.

Referral Award Amounts:

Referral awards will be presented to eligible employees based on the level of the position:

  • Tier 1 ‑ $200.00
  • Tier 2 ‑ $500.00
  • Tier 3 ‑ $750.00

Tiers are determined by the HR Department based on the following criteria:

  • Tier 1 ‑ All Hourly/Non-Exempt Positions
  • Tier 2 ‑ All Salaried ‑ Exempt (Non-Technical Positions)
  • Tier 3 ‑ All Salaried – Exempt Technical Positions and Management/Supervisory Positions

Cash incentives are subject to required deductions and tax withholdings.  These earnings will be included in the employee’s year-end gross earnings shown on the IRS W-2 Wage and Tax Statement.

The cash incentive awards and positions included in this plan may be modified or terminated at HeiTech Services discretion.
