SECTION 508
of the amended Rehabilitation Act of 1998 extends to cyberspace the same legal
guarantees of access that all physical public amenities must provide. The law
requires that new Federal websites make
their content and function available to people with motor, visual, or auditory
disabilities.
HeiTech Services endeavors to make its products accessible
to all users, regardless of ability, browser, or connection speed by utilizing:
- Alternative text for images and script elements and consistent navigation
across an entire site.
- Keystroke alternatives for non-mouse users.
- Display adjustments, such as color selection, contrast, and flash rate.
- The latest authoring tools to create information products which present in depth
content in elegant formats, without dense graphics.
- Section 508 and usability tools, such as Bobby.
HeiTech designers and programers strive for Level AA conformance or better for all of our
solutions, including regular auditing to assess compliance and accessibility.
We can also perform analysis on existing sites to develop methodologies and
a detailed plan for making your web site more accessible.
