HeiTech Services Ranks No. 3,090 on the 2007 Inc. 5,000 With Three-Year Sales Growth of 104.1%

Inc. Magazine ranked HeiTech Services No. 3,090 in its first-ever Inc. 5,000 list. The 2007 Inc. 5,000 list, which is an extension of the magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, names the country’s fastest-growing private companies based on percent revenue from 2003 through 2006.

To compile the list, Inc. outlined criteria that required companies be independent (not subsidiaries or divisions), privately held, and U.S.-based. Companies must also have a minimum revenue of $200,000 in 2003 and $2 million in 2006. During the qualifying period, HeiTech Services experienced a 104.1 percent growth in its annual revenue from $3.9 million in 2003 to $8 million in 2006.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious distinction,” said Heidi Gerding, President and CEO of HeiTech Services. “Our customer-focused strategy has laid the foundation for the company’s growth within the challenging federal contracting industry. In an extremely competitive environment that faces increased regulations and changing procurement laws, we continue to grow because we continue to place our customers first.”

HeiTech Services projects its 2007 revenue to be nearly $11 million, providing the company with an additional 37.5 percent growth over 2006 revenue.

HeiTech and DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy Bridge the Gap for Youth with Disabilities

The Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has awarded HeiTech Services a Task Order under the Employment and Training Administration’s (ETA’s) IDIQ contract. Under this Task Order, HeiTech Services will develop issue papers and a tool kit that streamline the transition outcomes of youth with disabilities.

As they grow into adulthood, teens and young adults are expected to gradually transition into self-sufficiency. Youth with disabilities, however, do not typically experience the same level of expectations. HeiTech Services will assist ODEP by developing issue papers that outline reasonable transition expectations for youth with disabilities and highlight barriers they may encounter in the process. We will develop tool kits that provide resources for career planning, apprenticeship and personal assistance services. HeiTech Services will help to decrease barriers to employment for these young people and to streamline their progress toward learning, developing, and practicing new skills that provide increased employment opportunities.

“Through a multi-year relationship with the Department of Labor, HeiTech Services has built a strong relationship and excellent reputation with our Government partners. With this new contract, we will be able assist the Department in crafting creative solutions for improving the lives and futures of disabled youth” said Anna Goddard, Vice President of the Management Consulting and Program Support Division.

In September 2007, the Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded HeiTech Services a contract to host and maintain its web-based database of healthcare quality measures used by CMS in its broad quality improvement and public reporting efforts. The web-based application, Quality Measures Management Information System (QMIS), provides a systematic approach for the development, implementation and maintenance of healthcare quality measures that are used to assess performance of healthcare providers ranging from managed care plans to dialysis centers, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and physician offices. Future quality measurement activities are planned for prescription drug plans and other healthcare settings.

HeiTech Services will host and expand on the current database of more than 550 measures. Among others, we will develop extensive additional functionality that is more user-friendly, implement strategy for syndicated content, and enable interfacing with the databases of national consensus endorsement organizations.

"We are extremely honored to be selected by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to host and further extend the functionality and visibility of the QMIS application,” said Eva Mitter, HeiTech’s Vice President of Information Technology. “This website will support an important long-term goal of CMS to ensure the measures are scientifically sound, valid, reliable and useful in improving the quality of healthcare. Our team is very excited to be part of this mission and be able to contribute to the nation-wide improvement of the healthcare area."
