Landover, Md. – HeiTech Services, Inc. proudly announces today that the company was named a Semi-Finalist at the 2011 National Capital Business Ethics Awards (NCBEA). The awards recognize businesses which employ the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct and exemplify a strong commitment to business excellence and social responsibility. The Eleventh Annual Gala Awards Dinner took place on October 13 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia.

The National Capital Business Ethics Awards are presented annually by the National Capital Chapter, Society of Financial Services Professionals, in partnership with George Mason University. “As CEO, I ensure that the truth is never compromised and that everyone in the company, from the executive management team to the newly hired employee, knows that we individually and collectively are accountable for our actions,” stated President/CEO Heidi Gerding. “This commitment is part of the business ethics training that every employee receives, building trust, loyalty, and a reputation for integrity.”

Semi-Finalists and Award Winners for the 2011 NCBEA were subject to a thorough and complete judging process. George Mason University students reviewed all entries and visited each company to develop a deeper understanding of each company’s ethics programs. Entries were then reviewed at a second level by a set of NCBEA judges, whom determined if the entries met or exceeded the standards of ethical conduct that this award is designed to honor. The judges then selected companies and conducted site visits to gain supplementary information. Companies underwent an additional level of exploration from NCBEA judges through contact of vendors, suppliers, former employees and business contacts.

“We are honored to have been among such a distinguished group of nominees at the 2011 National Capital Business Ethics Awards,” said Gerding. “Congratulations to the semi-finalists and award winners for achieving this incredible recognition concerning one of business’s most fundamental aspects – ethics.”
